Straight from the golden plains of Africa,
this intriguing zebra is hand carved from African soapstone.
Gusii men near Lake Victoria mine kisii soapstone with
a large “panga” then sculpt the raw form with a smaller “kisu” knife.
The finished form is polished with wet sand for a smooth,
refined look and then hand painted.
Origin: Kenya
Soapstone, non-toxic dyes - 3.5" long, 1" wide and 5" tall.
As with any hand-crafted product,
unique variations should be expected.
